Biography
Thank you for taking the time to visit the BK Photography web site. We appreciate you considering us to photograph your memories and creating heirlooms for you and your future generations. BK Photographers (Kenneth and Barbara) work as a team to produce special creations in fine portraiture with excitement, passion and imagination. Two heads are always better than one, and two heads are used to create every image we take.
The very nature of photography creates a working relationship with client and photographer and we will get to know each other quite well. Let us tell you a little something about ourselves:
We were both born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. Kenneth grew up around the camera. His dad photographed weddings and portraits. Photography has been a hobby of his for quite some time. Just recently, he decided to dedicate his time to creating portraits of people and families. People are just more fun to interact with than flowers. Barbara grew up around children and as an NICU nurse works closely with families. This love of people and family is what has inspired us to work in portrait creations. We have been working as a team since 1983, raising children, chasing them around with the camera and creating a happy home. Our teamwork has extended into our love of beauty, artwork and the vision to create the special images we take.
We must admit that we are new to the business of professional photography, but our love of art and our creativity will be a bonus for you and your family in the portraits we create. Our goal is to create an image for you that will please you and all those who view it. Your happiness with our work is what makes our success.
Kenneth is a graduate of the New York Institute of Photography and a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP). We both have had formal training in portraiture from Monte Zucker, world-renowned Wedding and Portrait Photographer. We also continue to take educational seminars through Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and The Wedding and Portrait Photography International (WPPI) to keep up with the latest trends and gadgets.
